People often change their pronunciation to whichever is easier to say. For example, older people might say "big" as "biku," "bed" as "betto," and "bag" as "back."
When Dave Spector speaks, it's "Dodgers," but in Japan, "Dodgers" is the mainstream pronunciation. Similarly, Dave says "Yankees," "Angels," and "Braves." (The distinction between "s" and "z" is something we learned in middle school English.)
